If you took an NPTEL exam this semester, this is the update you have been waiting for. The National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning, the IIT and IISc initiative offered through SWAYAM, has released another batch of results for its July-December 2026 semester examinations, with fresh course-wise scorecards published on October 26, 27 and 28.
The results are not coming out in one single list. NPTEL has been publishing them in phases, course by course. The first results for this semester appeared on September 29, more followed on October 16 for examinations held on September 19 and 20, and the latest round on October 28 added several more courses. If your course is not showing yet, it most likely means your batch is still in the queue.
Check your result on the official website, nptel.ac.in, using your roll number or login details. The scorecard carries your name, registration number, course name, marks, grade and qualifying status, so download a copy once it appears.
Which courses were included in the October 28 update
The October 28 release covered courses across engineering, science, mathematics and the humanities. Among the courses named in the latest update were Laser-Based Manufacturing, Labour Welfare and Industrial Relations, Heat Transfer, Mathematical Methods and its Application, and Introduction to Market Structures.
Earlier phases had covered An Introduction to Coding Theory, Introduction to Programming in C, Postmodernism in Literature, Calculus of Several Real Variables, and Tools and Technologies of Language Documentation.
How to check your NPTEL result 2026
Go through the official route rather than trusting forwarded links in chat groups:
- Visit the official NPTEL website at nptel.ac.in.
- Look for the section titled Results for Jul-Dec 2026 Exams and click on it.
- Find the result link for your course or examination date and open it.
- Enter your roll number or the other details asked for on the page, then proceed.
- Your result sheet or scorecard will open. Check the details carefully and download it.
For many courses, you can also log in with the email ID you enrolled with, open the course name to reach the scoreboard, and click on Exam Scores to see your assignment scores and exam score separately. The final score shown there is your certification score.

What to check on your scorecard
Do not just glance at the headline score and close the tab. Check that your name and registration number are correct, that the course name matches the paper you sat for, and that the marks and grade shown are the ones you expected.
Small errors are much easier to fix before certificates are printed. NPTEL advises learners to report any issue within the deadline given for that course. Once certificates are printed, a reprint with corrections is done only on payment of additional fees.
If something looks wrong, or if you cannot see your score at all, write to nptelexam@nptel.iitm.ac.in with your course name, roll number and registered email ID ready.
E-certificates: what happens next
For most learners, the result is only step one. The e-certificate is the document that goes on a resume or a college application, and NPTEL has set a clear timeline for it.
E-certificates will be available three days after the release of the scores, through nptel.ac.in/noc or the NPTEL online courses portal. Learners are informed by email and SMS, so keep an eye on the inbox linked to your enrolment. When the certificate appears, check every detail against your scorecard and save a backup copy.
If your result is still not out
With results arriving in batches, the most common question is simple: my friend got theirs, why have I not got mine? In most cases, the answer is timing. Candidates whose course results are not yet available should keep checking the official portal.
While you wait, confirm you are looking at the right course and examination date, and make sure you are logged in with the same email ID you used to enrol. Avoid unofficial result links shared on social media. The only safe place to confirm your status is nptel.ac.in and the course page linked from it.
