August 12, 2024 – Shah Rukh Khan, along with his sons Aryan and AbRam, have lent their voices to the Hindi version of the much-expected animated film Mufasa: The Lion King, which is set to release on December 20.
Shah Rukh, who previously lent his voice to Mufasa in the 2019 remake of The Lion King, is now back to voice the character again. This time, Aryan Khan will play Simba, and the role of the young Mufasa will be portrayed by his son AbRam, which makes it a complete family affair.
The trailer shows Rafiki, Timon, and Pumbaa explaining Mufasa’s story to Kiara, Simba and Nala’s daughter. Of course, the above characters are also played by Shreyas Talpade and Sanjay Mishra as and when the script required the characters. The narrative is all about earlier life of Mufasa and his brother, Daka, who is Scar finally. The trailer suggests it to be an epic confrontation when the two brothers unite to take on an aggressive rival lion clan in their battle for the throne.
Fans have started praising now for the Hindi trailer itself and the voices of Shah Rukh with his sons already. Expressions like “I’ll watch just for the voice” and “No one represents a king better than Shah Rukh” run across social media, showing the huge wave comments of excitement towards this star-studded voice cast.
Shah Rukh Khan will voice his character Mufasa, reprising his role from last year’s hit remake, and his son Aryan Khan has been roped in to voice Simba. Directed by Disney on the original story by Irene Mecchi, Jonathan Roberts, and Linda Woolverton, the film hits theaters on December 20.
