Mumbai Indians, the five-time IPL champions, have reportedly made a huge trade deal to bring back their star all-rounder Hardik Pandya from Gujarat Titans. According to reports, MI has paid GT 100 crore rupees as a transfer fee and an additional amount that is not disclosed. Pandya will also receive 50% of the trade fee from GT.

Pandya, who was the captain of GT in the 2022 and 2023 seasons, led them to the IPL title in his debut season. He was also named the Player of the Match in the final against Rajasthan Royals. However, he was released by GT after the 2023 season and joined MI as their first team player.

The trade deal is expected to be completed soon and will make Pandya the third captain to be traded in IPL history. The first two were Ravichandran Ashwin, who moved from Punjab Kings to Delhi Capitals in 2020, and Ajinkya Rahane, who moved from Rajasthan Royals to Delhi Capitals in 2020.

The trade deal will also benefit both teams as they will increase their purse for the upcoming IPL auction on December 19. MI will have Rs. 5.05 crore after buying Rs. 20.5 crore worth of players in the mini-auction, while GT will have Rs. 15 crore after selling Pandya.

Pandya is one of the most explosive and versatile players in IPL history. He can bat at any position and bowl fast or spin depending on the situation. He has scored over 2300 runs and taken over 50 wickets in IPL matches at an average of over 30.

He has also played for India in all three formats of cricket and has represented them in several international tournaments such as World Cup, Champions Trophy, Asia Cup and T20 World Cup.

With this trade deal, Pandya will return to his home ground of Mumbai and reunite with his former teammates such as Rohit Sharma, Kieron Pollard, Jasprit Bumrah and others. He will also lead MI with more experience and confidence after being away from them for a while.

MI fans are eagerly waiting for Pandya’s arrival and are hoping that he will continue his form and performance that he showed with GT. They are also looking forward to seeing him play with his new teammates such as Cameron Green, who was traded from GT to MI along with some other players.

GT fans are disappointed by losing their captain but are happy that they have got a huge amount of money for him. They are also hoping that they can find another star player who can fill his shoes and lead them to glory in future seasons.

The trade deal between MI and GT is one of the biggest deals ever done in IPL history and has created a lot of buzz among cricket lovers across the world.
