Ram Mandir construction: First floor work to be completed by December end

Ayodhya, Dec 17: The construction work of the first floor of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya is nearing completion, as per the latest update from the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, which is overseeing the project.

The trust, which tweeted some pictures of the ongoing work on Friday, said that the first floor of the temple will have 132 pillars, which are being erected with granite stones from Karnataka and Telangana.

The trust also said that the ground floor of the temple, which has 160 pillars, is almost complete and the flooring of the sanctum sanctorum is ready.


The trust said that the construction work is being done with the guidance and supervision of a team of experts from IITs, CBRI, and other technical institutes, along with the consultants and contractors appointed by the trust.

The trust said that the construction work is progressing as per the schedule and the temple is expected to be completed by 2025.

The trust also thanked the devotees of Lord Ram for their generous donations and support for the temple construction, which is being done with full transparency and honesty.

The trust also appealed to the people to follow the Covid-19 protocols and avoid crowding at the temple site, as the work is being done in a restricted area.

The trust said that the temple will be a grand and magnificent structure, which will reflect the glory and splendour of the ancient Indian culture and architecture.

The trust said that the temple will be a symbol of the faith and devotion of the Hindu community and a tribute to the cultural heritage and unity of India.
