The Reserve Bank of India Services Board on Wednesday, 28 October 2026, declared the final result for Officers in Grade B (Direct Recruitment) in the DEPR cadre, for Panel Year 2026. The result is provisional, and the recommended candidates are named in a separate PDF linked to the official notice on rbi.org.in.
DEPR is the Department of Economic and Policy Research, the research-focused cadre of the Reserve Bank. The General cadre result came out on 15 October 2026, with 40 candidates recommended, while DEPR and DSIM were still awaited. The 28 October list closes that wait for DEPR; DSIM candidates should watch the official RBI pages for a separate notice.
What the 28 October notice says
The notice covers Officers in Grade B (Direct Recruitment), on probation, in the DEPR cadre, under Advertisement Number RBISB/DA/01/2026-27 dated 29 April 2026. There were 10 DEPR vacancies, as part of 60 Grade B vacancies in all: 40 General, 10 DEPR and 10 DSIM.
Three points matter most. First, the result is provisional only. Second, the list is a PDF with the roll numbers and names of recommended candidates, rather than marks or ranks on the notice page. Third, the Board will display the scorecard and cut-off marks on rbi.org.in shortly, in an interactive format. Check the PDF for selection, and wait for that display for marks and cut-offs.
Selection followed Phase-I, Phase-II and an interview. For DEPR and DSIM, Phase-I was held on 14 June 2026 and Phase-II on 26 July 2026, after applications closed on 20 May 2026. Interviews were held during September and October 2026. DEPR applicants needed a postgraduate degree in economics or a related field, aged 21 to 30 years as on 1 April 2026. The notified basic pay is Rs 78,450 per month.
How to check the RBI Grade B DEPR result
Use only the official RBI pages. The result PDF is the only authoritative list:
- Go to rbi.org.in, or the RBI opportunities portal at opportunities.rbi.org.in, and open the Current Vacancies section, then Results.
- Find the link titled Final Result for Officers in Grade B (DR), DEPR Cadre, Panel Year 2026, under Advertisement Number RBISB/DA/01/2026-27.
- Open the notice, then open the linked PDF with the roll numbers and names of recommended candidates.
- Search the PDF for your roll number, using Ctrl and F on a computer or search in a PDF reader on a phone.
- If your roll number appears, save the notice and the list PDF, and read the instructions in the notice carefully.
Do not rely on a screenshot or a forwarded list. Download the file from the RBI site and check that the title says DEPR Cadre and Panel Year 2026. The General cadre list published on 15 October is a different document.

What recommended candidates must do next
Selection in the PDF is not the end of the process. Recommended candidates must complete attestation formalities within two weeks from the date the result was published, by 11 November 2026. The notice asks for five copies of the duly filled Attestation Form, all in original, sent by post to the Reserve Bank of India Services Board, Reserve Bank of India Building, 3rd Floor, opposite Mumbai Central Railway Station, Byculla, Mumbai 400008.
Fill the form exactly as instructed, keep a copy of everything posted, and use a postal method that gives proof of dispatch. Original certificates will be verified, and appointment depends on that verification and on the outcome of any writ petitions pending against the recruitment. The Board can cancel a candidature if information in the application or documents is found false or incorrect, or if the candidate does not meet the eligibility criteria.
If your name is not on the list
A roll number missing from the DEPR list means the candidate has not been recommended in this cadre in this cycle. The detailed notice states that the decision of the Board is final and binding, and that the Board does not entertain correspondence on these matters.
That is a hard outcome after months of preparation, but the scorecard display, when RBI publishes it, will show where the bar fell. Use that official display, not rumoured cut-offs, and watch rbi.org.in for the next Grade B notification.
