From sports achievements to international recognition, Bharat has undoubtedly made its mark. Let’s dive into these remarkable achievements and be proud of the advancements made by our nation.

1. Space Chandrayaan 3 Landing:

After the setback of Chandrayaan 2 in 2019, Bharat’s space agency, ISRO, achieved a remarkable feat with the successful landing of Chandrayaan 3. This mission, accomplished at a cost of 615 crores, made Bharat the fourth country to achieve a soft landing on the moon’s south pole, joining the ranks of the United States, Russia, and China. This achievement garnered international recognition and admiration, proving Bharat’s capabilities in space exploration. ISRO’s continuous efforts and achievements make us proud as a nation.

2. Sports:

When it comes to sports, cricket often takes the spotlight in discussions. However, in this blog, we will shed light on other sports that have brought glory to our nation. Chess prodigy Pragnananda, at just 18 years old, showcased remarkable skills and competed against some of the world’s best chess players, reaching the finals. In hockey, the women’s team won the FIH cup in Spain, reminiscent of the iconic movie “Chakde India”. The Asian Games also witnessed India’s exceptional performance, securing 107 medals, including 28 gold. Additionally, our para-athletes brought home 29 gold medals, with Sheetal Devi becoming the world’s first para-archery champion with no hands. These achievements highlight Bharat’s dedication and success in various sports, making us proud as a nation.

3. The Fastest Growing Economy:

Despite the global economic slowdown caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, Bharat emerged as a beacon of hope with a growth rate surpassing expectations. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) predicted a growth rate of 7.2% for Bharat, outperforming major economies such as Germany, America, and France. This achievement highlights the resilience and potential of the Indian economy, with the growth trend expected to continue into 2024. The widespread adoption and usage of UPI also contributed to this economic growth, paving the way for a digital financial revolution in Bharat.

4. India Electrified:

In a significant stride towards energy independence, India discovered 5.9 million tonnes of Lithium in its Jammu Kashmir region. This valuable resource is crucial for making EV batteries and can meet 80% of India’s energy demands, reducing our dependence on petrol, diesel, and imports. By harnessing this power, India can address its energy needs sustainably, eliminating the reliance on fossil fuels and contributing to a greener future. The discovery of this substantial Lithium reserve is a natural blessing for Bharat.

5. India’s Oscar Win:

India’s filmmaking industry had a remarkable year in 2023, with Indian productions winning Oscars for the first time. The film “Elephant Whisperers” received international recognition, and the song “Naatu Naatu” from the movie RRR won an Oscar award. Furthermore, the documentary “All That Breathes” was nominated for an Oscar, reflecting the excellence of Indian films. These achievements not only contribute to the growth and recognition of the Indian film industry but also showcase the talent and creativity of Indian filmmakers on a global platform.

6. World is a Family:

India’s commitment to humanity and international cooperation was demonstrated through “Operation Dost” when India provided relief aid and sent its rescue team to Turkey following devastating earthquakes. Despite political differences, India extended a helping hand, emphasizing the importance of humanity and solidarity. This act of compassion and assistance showcased Bharat’s willingness to support other nations in times of need, even when faced with complex diplomatic situations.

7. Defence:

Bharat’s defence exports reached an all-time high of 15,920 crore rupees in 2023. This significant increase reflects the growing demand for Indian-made weapons, missiles, aircraft, and armoured vehicles across the globe. India’s indigenously developed Tejas Aircrafts and helicopters have gained recognition, making Bharat a significant player in the global arms market. Although progress has been made, there is still a need for military modernization and overcoming challenges to ensure the safety and security of our nation.

8. UNLF Surrender:

Amidst the challenges faced in Manipur, there was a glimmer of hope as the United National Liberation Front (UNLF) surrendered its arms. For 60 years, this insurgent organization fought for secession from Bharat. However, through a peace agreement, signs of peace and unity have increased in the North East region. This surrender showcases the power of diplomacy and dialogue in resolving conflicts and fostering a sense of harmony within our nation.

9. Indian Rupee’s International Journey:

Bharat has been striving to make the Indian Rupee an international currency, challenging the dominance of the US dollar in global trade. Significant steps were taken in this direction, such as enabling UPI transactions at the Eiffel Tower and initiating bilateral trade in local currency with the UAE. These efforts, led by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), aim to reduce dependence on the US dollar and enhance Bharat’s economic sovereignty. By including African Union in the G20, Bharat has further strengthened its position and influence on the global stage.

10. G20 Success:

Bharat’s presidency of the G20 in 2023 was a momentous achievement, showcasing the country’s diplomatic prowess and leadership. Notably, G20 meetings were held in every state and Union territory of Bharat, bringing the discussions and decisions closer to the people. This inclusive approach highlighted Bharat’s commitment to regional development and showcased Jammu and Kashmir as a tourism destination. Additionally, by including the African Union in the G20, Bharat elevated the significance of this global forum. These achievements solidify Bharat’s place as a major player in international affairs.
