Delhi has a new result to check this evening. The Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) has declared the Forest Guard Tier-I result 2026, and 572 candidates have been provisionally shortlisted for the Physical Endurance Test (PET). The result, issued as Result Notice No. 212 on 4 November 2026, covers the Forest Guard post in the Forest and Wildlife Department of the Delhi government, Post Code 41/25, under Advertisement No. 02/25.
For the 17,762 candidates who sat the Tier-I online examination between 7 and 14 July 2026, this is the first big cut. Only about one in 31 candidates has made it through to the physical stage, for 52 advertised vacancies.
Shortlisted candidates should read the notice carefully before celebrating. DSSSB is clear that this shortlisting is provisional. Eligibility documents were not collected at the application stage and have not yet been verified, and inclusion in the PET list does not by itself create a right to appointment. The shortlist is also subject to the outcome of any pending court cases connected to this recruitment.
Cut-offs: UR closes at 179.58 out of 200
The category-wise cut-offs, all out of 200 marks, show just how competitive the general category was. The Unreserved (UR) cut-off stands at 179.58, followed by EWS at 173.26, SC at 167.76, OBC at 165.05 and ST at 149.29. The Ex-Servicemen cut-off is 121.73.
In terms of numbers shortlisted, UR accounts for the largest group at 191 candidates, followed by OBC at 181, SC at 60, and ST and Ex-Servicemen at 50 each, with EWS at 40. The total, including bracketed candidates who tied on the cut-off mark, comes to 572.
Keep the two kinds of marks separate. DSSSB also prescribes minimum qualifying marks, 40 percent for UR and
EWS, 35 percent for OBC and 30 percent for SC, ST and PwBD candidates. Clearing that minimum alone does not guarantee a PET call; the category cut-off is what mattered here.

How to check the result and your marks
The result notice itself carries the category-wise cut-offs and shortlisting counts, not individual scores. Candidates need two different places for the two different pieces of information:
- Result Notice No. 212: visit dsssb.delhi.gov.in, open the Latest Results section, and look for Result Notice No. 212 (Tier-I) for Forest Guard, Post Code 41/25. Download the PDF and check the cut-off for your category.
- Individual Tier-I marks: log in to the OARS candidate portal at dsssbonline.nic.in with your registered credentials and open the Forest Guard Post Code 41/25 section to view your marks.
- Next notice: keep watching dsssb.delhi.gov.in and communications from the Forest and Wildlife Department for the PET schedule, which has not been announced yet.
If your roll number is in the shortlist, download the notice now and keep a copy with your application details. If it is not, your individual marks on OARS will at least show where you stood, and that is useful information for the next attempt.
What happens next: the PET, then scrutiny
The next stage is the Physical Endurance Test, and it will be conducted by the Forest and Wildlife Department, not by DSSSB. That detail matters, because candidates should look for the PET notice from the user department rather than waiting only on the DSSSB site.
The result notice does not announce a PET date, venue or reporting schedule. No PET date should be treated as confirmed until it appears in an official notice. Shortlisted candidates would do well to start physical preparation now, running and endurance work included, while keeping their original eligibility documents ready for the scrutiny and document verification stage that follows the PET.
After the PET, the process moves to eligibility scrutiny and document verification, and only then to a final selection list. In other words, this result opens the next door; it does not close the recruitment.
A reminder on the vacancies
The 52 vacancies break down as 19 for UR, 18 for OBC, 6 for SC, 5 for ST and 4 for EWS, including five Ex-Servicemen-reserved vacancies. The advertisement, No. 02/25, dates back to 31 July 2025, so keep every document, login detail and notice safe until the final list is out.
