The Directorate of AYUSH, Madhya Pradesh, has released the seat matrix and merit list for the stray vacancy round of MP AYUSH Counselling 2026. Candidates who registered for admission to undergraduate AYUSH courses can now check their merit position and the vacant seats available across the state, and the choice filling window has opened today, November 8.
The stray round is the final chance for NEET UG 2026 qualified candidates to secure a seat in BAMS, BHMS, BUMS and BNYS courses in Madhya Pradesh. The seat matrix, state merit list and the list of eligible candidates were all published on November 7 on the official portal, ayush.mponline.gov.in.
What was released on November 7
Three documents went live together on the portal. The seat matrix shows the course-wise and college-wise vacant seats left after the earlier counselling rounds. The state merit list ranks the candidates who registered for the stray round, and the eligible candidates list confirms who can take part in choice filling.
The counselling covers government, autonomous and private AYUSH colleges in the state, including Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Unani and Naturopathy and Yoga colleges. Admission is based on NEET UG 2026 scores, and seats are allotted in merit order against the vacant seats shown in the matrix.
Candidates should check the seat matrix carefully before filling choices. A seat that looks attractive on paper may have very few vacancies, so it helps to list a realistic mix of colleges and courses rather than only the most sought-after ones.

Choice filling starts today, ends November 11
Choice filling and locking will run from November 8 to November 11, 2026, until 11:59 pm. This is the step where candidates rank the colleges and courses they are willing to join, in order of preference.
To fill choices, candidates need to log in to ayush.mponline.gov.in, open the stray vacancy round section, and submit their preferences before the deadline. Choices that are not locked by November 11 will not be considered for allotment, so candidates should not leave this to the last evening.
Registration for the stray round ran from November 3 to November 5, and document verification for stray-round candidates was completed at the designated help centres before the merit list was published.
What happens after choice filling
Once the choice filling window closes, the Directorate will prepare the college-wise merit list, which is scheduled for release on November 14, 2026. Seat allotment will follow from that list, and candidates who get a seat will then have to report to the allotted college with their original documents and the admission fee.
A further merit list, of candidates who actually report at their colleges, will be published by 5 pm on November 17, 2026. That list will show how many of the stray-round seats were actually taken up, and whether any seats remain for a further round.
Candidates are advised to keep checking the official portal rather than relying on social media forwards. The portal is the only source for the seat matrix, merit lists and allotment notices, and any change in dates will be announced there first.
Documents to keep ready
- NEET UG 2026 scorecard and admit card
- Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets and certificates
- Domicile certificate of Madhya Pradesh, if applicable
- Category certificate, if claiming reservation
- Photo identity proof and passport-size photographs
- Stray round registration slip and choice filling acknowledgement
Original documents are verified at the time of reporting, so candidates should carry both originals and photocopies, along with the fee amount specified in the allotment letter.
