The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) on Friday declared the Mains result for the Home Science subject in its Assistant Teacher, Trained Graduate Grade (LT Grade) Recruitment 2025. The Home Science announcement is part of a slow, subject-by-subject declaration. The recruitment so far

No. A-5/E-1/2025, covers 7,466 posts of Assistant Teacher for classes 9 and 10 in government secondary schools across the state. Of these, 4,860 posts are in the male branch, 2,525 in the female branch, and 81 are reserved for persons with benchmark disabilities.
The journey has been a long one. The Prelims were held on 21 December 2025, and the Mains examinations ran from 22 April 2026 to 16 August 2026. Results of the Mains are now emerging subject by subject. Commerce and Agriculture/Horticulture results were already published on 1 September 2026, and Home Science joined the list today.
Home Science result: the numbers
Along with the merit list, UPPSC published the subject-wise statistics for Home Science, and they underline just how competitive this recruitment is:
- Prelims: Held on 21 December 2025; 55,475 candidates appeared, of whom 2,784 qualified for the Mains (result declared 18 February 2026).
- Mains: Held on 16 May 2026; 218 candidates declared provisionally successful in Group 1.
- Branch-wise split: 55 candidates in the male branch and 163 in the female branch cleared the Home Science Mains.
That is a steep funnel: roughly one in 250 Prelims candidates in the subject has made it to the provisional merit list.
