Bank of Baroda has opened one of the biggest banking career windows of this month. The public sector bank released its Wealth Management Services (WMS) recruitment notification on 4 November 2026, announcing 837 provisional vacancies on a contractual basis. Online applications opened the same day and will close at 11:59 pm on 24 November 2026.
The drive is advertised as BOB/HRM/REC/ADVT/2026/20. It is not a fresher recruitment. Every post asks for a graduation degree plus hands-on experience in wealth management, investment advisory or portfolio management.
The headline number hides an important detail. Almost 95 percent of the vacancies are for a single role, Deputy Manager and Senior Relationship Manager. The remaining posts are senior leadership and investment roles, with only a handful of each.
837 vacancies: post-wise break-up
Here is how the 837 provisional vacancies are divided across the five posts:
- Senior Relationship Manager (Deputy Manager): 791 posts
- Territory Head (Assistant Vice President I): 35 posts
- Group Head (Assistant Vice President II): 8 posts
- Investment Product Manager (Assistant Vice President I): 2 posts
- Head Investment (Assistant Vice President II): 1 post
The bank has called the vacancies provisional, which means the final numbers can change according to its requirement. Candidates should also note that these are contractual posts, not regular permanent bank jobs, and the pay is not printed as a fixed scale in the short notice. Remuneration will be decided on qualifications, experience, overall suitability, last drawn salary and market benchmarks for the post.
Who can apply: eligibility in plain terms
The common base qualification is simple: graduation in any discipline from a university recognised by the Government of India, government bodies or AICTE. Beyond that, the bar rises sharply with seniority, and experience is counted only after the qualifying degree.
Senior Relationship Managers need at least three years as a Relationship Manager in wealth management, investment advisory or portfolio management, along with NISM V-A or V-D and/or IRDAI IC38 certification. Territory Heads need eight years. Investment Product Managers need five years, including three years as an Investment Counsellor, plus NISM certification. Group Heads need 12 years, including five years as a team lead, while Head Investment needs 10 years, including five years in senior leadership.
Age is calculated as on 1 November 2026. Senior Relationship Managers must be 24 to 35 years, Territory Heads 28 to 42 years, Investment Product Managers 26 to 45 years, and Group Heads and Head Investment 35 to 50 years. Relaxations apply for SC, ST, OBC, PwBD and ex-servicemen candidates as per the detailed notification.

Fee, dates and how to apply
The application fee is Rs 850 for General, EWS and OBC candidates and Rs 175 for SC, ST, PwBD, ex-servicemen and women candidates, plus payment gateway charges. It is non-refundable and must be paid online. An application is complete only when the fee is paid on or before the deadline.

Apply only through the bank’s official careers portal. Then register, fill in your details, upload your documents, pay the fee, and save a printout with the payment receipt.
What to keep ready before you start
Wealth management hiring rewards practical proof over general claims, so gather your documents before you apply. Keep your updated resume, graduation marksheet and degree certificate, NISM or IRDAI certificates, experience letters, latest salary slips and a CTC break-up ready. If you work in a government department, PSU or public sector bank, arrange your No Objection Certificate early.
For the interview, be ready to talk numbers: the client book you handled, assets under management, revenue, and how you built and retained high-net-worth relationships. For AVP posts, expect questions on team size and targets. Meeting the minimum eligibility does not guarantee an interview call.
Do not wait for the last day. Bank portals often slow down in the final 48 hours, and a failed fee payment late at night can cost you an otherwise complete application. Verify your eligibility today and submit well before 24 November.
